Yet another stylish laptop from Toshiba featuring the EasyGuard Technology with PC Health Monitor. Toshiba Portege A600 is available at $1,399 providing a lightweight system at just 3 pounds and 1.18 inches thin, for mobile professionals.

It is a small laptop with a 12.1-inch display, powered by the smart Intel Centrino 2 processor technology, which enables up to 7.5 hours of continuous operating time, and created entirely by Toshiba.

We’ve encountered this stylish design before, at Toshiba Tecra R10, other lightweight laptop computers introduced recently, and we can say it’s a smart design that gives you the impression of a slimmer profile.
The EasyGuard Technology with PC Health Monitor is permanently checking the system components’ functionality state and alerts you whenever an issue is detected at the hard drive, battery life, system cooling and processor temperature.
In addition, the new lightweight laptop computers include a spill-resistant keyboard, hard drive protection, fingerprint reader and the Trusted Platform Module hardware-based encryption.

Toshiba Portege A600 introduces the company’s High Density Mounting Technology, which enables dual-sided motherboard component mounting for the integration of optical drives. Another component that contributes in reducing the total weight of the laptop is the LED backlight display with increased brightness and low power consumption.

Other features of the new Toshiba Portege A600 lightweight laptop computers include USB Sleep-and-Charge/eSATA Combo Port for charging other devices when the laptop is Off, integrated graphics card, wireless LAN with draft N support, web camera and microphone built-in.
