Sony VAIO NW240F laptop review
Posted by: LaptopsArena in Sony
Sony VAIO laptops are a great example of multimedia notebook that brings good quality for people which are interesting in owning a brand to be proud of. For this Sony laptop review we have chosen a rather cheap Sony VAIO laptop which is the VAIO NW240F, a pink laptop which is going to become the pride and joy of ladies all around the world. The first thing that we must mention in this Sony laptop review is that the price of the unit reviewed is as low as $730, proving that the price of Sony laptops has dropped considerably.
This unit is based on a 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 processor and 4 GB of RAM which are bound to provide good memory and good speed for multitasking without problems. The total amount of storage space is 320 GB which makes it enough room for storage and you can even consider using this laptop as a desktop replacement. The graphics card of this system is the integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 MHD. The operating system that comes preloaded on the Sony VAIO NW240F is the Windows 7 Home Premium. The dimensions of this unit are 14.6 x 9.8 x 1.2 inches and the total weight of the system is 6.4 pounds if we include the power adapter.

The display of this unit measures 15.4 inches in diagonal, making it safe to use this laptop as your primary computer. The 1366 x 768 pixels resolution is ok, but it is becoming a more common for 13 inch laptop, rather than for 15 inch ones. The colors are beautiful and they seem very lively so images are going to be great. It may not be as bright as other laptops but the maximum level of brightness is still a very decent one. Even if the screen is covered in a glossy coating, it does not appear to have the same problem with reflections as most such displays have. Above the display you shall notice a webcam plus an integrated microphone.

When you are planning to use a laptop as a desktop replacement or as your primary computer, I think that one of the first things you must be careful with is the selection of ports and connections. The unit of the Sony VAIO NW240F is host to no less than 3 USB ports, one VGA out, one HDMI port, an Express Card slot, one mini FireWire port, an Ethernet port, an SD card reader plus a memory stick reader and the regular headphones out and microphone in jacks. The battery life of this laptop is capable of keeping this unit of for 3 hours and 35 minutes while performing the severe video playback test that completely drains the battery. You must know that when you use the laptop for more basic tasks, it will provide you with more battery power because the tests run here are very severe and drain the battery a lot faster. So, is this laptop worth the effort or not?
