According to Samsung’s press release, the company plans to release sometime during 2009 a revolutionary notebook model with AMOLED display.
It will measure 12.1 inches and the display will feature 1280 x 768 pixel resolution.

The prototype was meant for exposing at SID 2008 but Samsung didn’t publish enough information so we could get a general idea about this notebook’s capabilities.

AMOLED comes from active-matrix organic light-emitting diode which uses a TFT backplane for switching between individual pixel On and Off, creating higher resolution and enabling it on the largest screen.
