Philips Launched the CliniScape Tablet PC



Philips has just launched the most useful utility for the medical sector, a tablet PC called CliniScape, designed by Intel Digital Health Group, which allows instant access to patient’s condition in any situation.

CliniScape is equipped with complicated technologies to allow doctors to find in real-time details about their patients such as medication data or blood containers.
They can write reports, validate blood transfusions and capture vital signs among other things.



It incorporates Bar Code scanner technology and Radio-frequency identification (RFID), the latter being an automatic identification method based on storing and remotely retrieving data.

CliniScape has an ergonomic design, an intuitive interface, and features a large 10.4-inch XGA touchscreen, a Core Solo processor, 1GB of RAM memory, 60GB disk space, Bluetooth, USB port, a 2MP camera, and a battery life of up to 3.5 hours.

The medical sector will be able to obtain such devices in spring 2008.
