While outside you have lots of notebook bag models to choose from for carrying your computer wherever you go, inside your home you may set it on a comfortable laptop computer stand that can be used on the sofa, desk and even floor, so that you to be able to work in any position. Logitech launched the Comfort Lapdesk for Notebooks, featuring a stable base and heat preventing system, meeting the needs of the laptop users who operate the computer at home.

"While other lapdesks promise improved comfort, they often fall short because of poor design and low-quality materials," said Denis Pavillard, Logitech's vice president of product marketing for keyboards and desktops. "The new Logitech lapdesk has a thoughtful design that will help make your laptop experience more comfortable, wherever you use your computer."
Statistics reveal that 60% of the home users operate the computer on a couch, 36% do it in their bed and 16% use it on the floor. They all have complained about the system heating and the uncomfortable posture that leads to pains in the back.
Logitech wanted to solve all off these issues and created the soft laptop computer stand with four layers, the bottom one sporting an air-flow room for preventing heat reaching the user’s body.

The laptop computer stand will be available at a price of $39.99 in the United States starting February, and in January in European stores.

During the Customer Electronics Show 2009, you’ll have the opportunity to see a universal HDMI adapter specially designed for laptop computers and desktop PCs.
It comes from Atlona Technologies, a company that manufactures audio/video accessories.
The new model is a USB to HDMI adapter and was called AT-HDPiX. It practically adds a HDMI port to computers, including Macs, and offers several solutions including in digital signage and home theater environments, where users can watch video content from any PC to any High Definition TV screen at a high resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels.
Even if it’s powerful and innovative, the form factor of the new device is small, so that it won’t occupy much space on the desk.

HDPiX USB to HDMI adapter supports 3.5-mm stereo audio input from the PC and that’s why it provides the 34Mbps bandwidth of the USB connectivity for transferring High Definition video content. This process eliminates dropped frames from intensive motion like in action movies, while the audio is transferred together with the video over the same HDMI cable.
Expect to see the Atlona Technologies’s HDPiX adapter in stores before Christmas, at a starting price of $179.
