Notebook Check
Posted by: LaptopsArena in notebook
From time to time, it is indicated to perform a notebook check, just to see if everything is right with internal parts, if software and drivers are installed and updated and see the general status of your portable system. Notebooks are different than desktop computers and it is harder for the user to see what is inside the system and see if everything is in order. With a desktop computer, you can open the case and manage reach the components and fix them yourself. With notebooks, it is not safe to open the chassis, because you can do some internal damage and that can be very expensive to fix. If your notebook runs on Windows 7, there is a troubleshooting device that will check the notebook without even removing the cover and see the inside. And as most of the portable systems these days run on Windows 7, it is very likely that your computer will do the same.
On the Start menu, click on the Windows logo and go to Control Panel to open the windows with all options. Type troubleshooter in the search box that appears in the right corner of the windows and then click on troubleshooting when it appears on the screen. Under System and Security section, go to Check for performance issues and that will open a new dialog box. Give some time for the check-up to complete and it will also automatically fix some of the issues. But stay around, because you might be needed to answer questions and follow some instructions to get things done. In order to view a final report, click on the View detailed information link in the box. But if you are looking to check certain parts on your notebook computer, then you can use the tools installed on Windows 7 to do so. The processor is among the most important components inside and its heat determines how intense tasks are running. Overheating is a very problematic matter and in case it happens, most of internal parts can be damaged. It is very important to check the speed and status on your notebook computer’s processor, so you can be sure everything is working normally.

Go to Control Panel once more and double click on the System and Security in order to open the respective window and click on the View Amount of RAM and Process Speed option. You will see all the featured information needed and you can then go to Device Manager and see all installed devices inside your notebook computer arranged by type. As already said, it is very important to see if the drivers in the notebook are properly installed and updated. You can always go to your notebook’s manufacturer website and enter your model in order to see the latest updates available. In order for your system to work properly, you must install drivers.

Thanks to the new benefits of the operating system and all software bundles that come installed on your notebook, you can easily do a notebook check and see if everything is in order with your system. Things are getting a lot easier nowadays, as manufacturers are trying to make the computing world accessible to everyone. You don’t need a lot to learn how to handle your notebook and you just need to give it slight attention for time to time to see if everything is right with it.
