NextDimension Real Time Video Editing Computer



It is very big yet portable, measuring 5.69 x 11.44 x 16.8 inches at 22 lbs. The NextComputing’s Real-Time Video Editing workstation seems to be the perfect machine for professionals who need to edit video content anywhere they are.

The developer is a well known producer of mobile workstations and servers. Its new NextDimension RVE video editing computer supports Windows-based NLE, Avid and Adobe requirements, while allowing users to migrate from desktop computers and laptops to this high-end briefcase-sized platform.

In addition to the software pre-loaded like Avid Media Composer Mojo DX, and Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 with Blackmagic Design’s DeckLink HD Extreme card, NextDimension RVE video editing computer features a 17-inch widescreen display of 1920 x 1200 resolution, DVI ports for connectivity to external monitors, optional dual 2.5GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon CPUs, 4GB RAM memory, 1.28TB of storage in RAID, FireWire 400 port, four USB 2.0, two Ethernet ports, two serial ports, two eSATA ports for external storage support, and the NVIDIA Quadro FX graphics.

The operating system pre-installed is Windows XP Professional 32bit edition.

NextComputing’s Real-Time Video Editing workstation sports a leather handle for easy carry and retractable tilt legs for creating a laptop-like work space.
It is available at a price of $6,380.
