Posted by: Sierra in MSI

According to SlashGear, MSI GX630-028US, one of the newest notebook computers introduced by the computer manufacturer, is available now at a low price of $799.99. This would make it a top system among cheap gaming computers, as MSI is recognized for using the latest technologies in its releases, while this specific model features an AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core processor, the NVIDIA GeForce 9600 graphics card, 250 SATA hard drive, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM memory, Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi module, a built-in 2MP web camera, the MSI Turbo Drive-engine technology, the MSI ECO Engine with 5 operating modes that help increasing the battery life, and a 15.4-inch glare LCD widescreen display.

The GX630 base model was introduced back in September sporting an eye-catching design with black housing and some cool fiery red lines in addition to the aerodynamic design reserved for the touchpad, while integrating the AMD Puma Mobility Platform, the AMD Turion 64 X2 Ultra processor technology, NVIDIA Geforce 9600M GT 3D graphics card with 512MB built-in DDR3 VRAM graphics memory, 7.1 Channel output for high-quality sound, SoundBlaster support, Multi-DVD burner, optional Blu-ray drive, and a 3-in-1 card reader.
It can be powered either from the 6-cell battery or from the optional 9-cell.

Another special design element consists of coloring the W, A, S and D buttons on the keyboard, making it easier for the user to find direction controls needed during the gameplay.
MSI specified a total dimension of 358 x 260 x 27 mm at just 2.7Kg.
