McAfee Endpoint Encryption

McAfee Endpoint Encryption

Previously known as SafeBoot Device Encryption, the improved version of McAfee’s full disk encryption is ready to protect your data stored on the PC or notebook, without affecting your productivity. The new McAfee Endpoint Encryption is transparent to the user and security administrators can easily set authentication prompting before booting or right before booting process ends.

Partnering with Gemalto and using the Gemalto .NET smart card with the Smart Enterprise Guardian digital security device, McAfee’s products allow the users authenticate themselves to their encrypted devices.
Gemalto digital security device has to be inserted and the user will need to enter a password phrase or PIN code to get authorized for accessing the data, which becomes the highest security level adopted via the two-factor authentication.

"Full disk encryption that requires authentication with an external intelligent device before even loading the operating system is an extremely secure solution," said Jerome Denis, Identity and Access Management director at Gemalto. "By working with McAfee's partner program, we make it straightforward for any individual or organization to implement the highest levels of digital security."
