Lenovo plans to release the ThinkPad X300 small notebook of 13.3 inches with LED backlight display technology and a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels.
It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo LV of 2 GHz and has the GM965 chipset also from Intel, and an X3100 integrated graphics card.

The maximum RAM memory is of 4GB DDR2 and the storage device is a Solid State Drive type measuring 1.8 inches having with a capacity of 64GB, but there will be probably the other option available, the HDD storage drive.
The DVD-RW is ultra slim and measures just 7mm thick.

For supporting the latest generation connectivity needs, Lenovo ThinkPad X300 provides three SB 2.0 ports, an ExpressCard slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EV-DO, HSDPA and WiMax.
It comes equipped with a built-in webcam, microphone, fingerprint reader, the touchpad and a trackpoint, while the battery comes in 3-cell, 6-cell and 9-cell versions, for a minimum of four hours work time.

ThinkPad X300 measures 318 x 231 x 18.6 mm and weights 1.13Kg, but the price is not known yet.
