HP - The World’s Largest PC Maker of 2007

Hewlett Packard is considered the world’s largest personal computer manufacturer for the year 2007, reaching 18.8% of the global personal computer unit shipments.
These results were made public by IDC industry analyst firm that revealed a total of 30.1% global unit shipment growth for HP in 2007, with 19% market share at the end of the year.
“In calendar 2007, HP completed a makeover of its extensive PC portfolio serving large enterprise, small business and individual consumers. IDC’s report shows that customers the world over enthusiastically embraced HP’s products for their high design and leading-edge technology,” declared Todd Bradley, executive vice president, Personal Systems Group, HP. “We will continue to work to earn customer loyalty by delivering an excellent experience and innovation that really matters.”
HP has been growing at a rate of 23.3% every year for the Q4, an important increasing compared with the overall global PC market growth rate of 15.5%.
Customers were satisfied by the stylish designs and friendly features brought for example by the Artist Edition HP Pavilion notebook and the HP Pavilion tx2000 touch-sensitive tablet, the later being presented recently at Customer Electronics Show 2008 in Las Vegas.
As a summary, the HP Pavilion dv2800t Artist Edition notebook is the winner of HPs Take Action/Make Art contest where more than 8,500 young artists sent their ideas.
The finalist captures the high-tech lifestyle of youth and integrates Bluetooth technology, webcam, graphics card with Discrete Graphics technology support, HP’s QuickPLAY AND Internet TV features, a 14.1-inch display, 5-in-1 card reader, ExpressCard slot, HDMI port, the special HP Artist Edition winning design imprint finish and is powered by the Intel Centrino Duo CPU technology.

On the other side, the HP Pavilion tx2000 is a modern 12.1-inch convertible tablet PC priced at $1,500, with active digitizer handwriting recognition technology, HD touch screen display with BrightView technology, an AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core processor, integrated NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 graphics card, up to 320GB HDD, up to 4GB of RAM, a super multi double layer DVD burner, and support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and the other standard connectivity options.
