HP made available a Special Edition notebook in Clay based on the dv6780se laptop model, with a nice bronze finish.
Maybe you are not crazy about this color but it is an affordable laptop with powerful features available at just $1,000.

It runs with the Intel Core 2 Duo 75450 CPU at 1.67GHz, integrating 3GB of DDR II memory with the possibility to extend it up to 4GB, and it is also equipped with the Intel PRO/Wireless AGN technology for wireless Internet, a super multi double layer DVD+/-RW with LightScribe support, 250MB S-ATA hard drive at 5400 rpm and an NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS graphics card with 256MB dedicated memory.

The video card has also S-video, TV-out and HDMI output.
The Clay shows a 15.4-inch WXGA HD widescreen with the BrightView technology and 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, plus the QuickPlay music and DVD buttons, the HP mobile remote and ear bud headphones which are included.

For video conferences it brings a HP Pavilion web camera with microphone, while for connectivity it comes with support for SD/MMC/MS Pro/xD memory card types, three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet LAN, modem, and the Expansion Port 3 connector.
The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium.
The special edition notebook with HP Imprint high-gloss finish in Thrive is only 1.7-inch thin and weights 6.8 lbs.
