Hewlett Packard has released a new ultra-portable convertible notebook series, the Pavilion tx2000z, sporting a 12.1-inch BrightView display with high definition and touch-sensitivity.
Other features include handwriting optimizer, fingerprint reader, wireless LAN, built-in camera, two omni-directional microphones with VoIP support, HP QuickPlay, mobile TV module for Internet TV streaming, and several ports and slots for USB, ExpressCard, S-Video, VGA, Consumer IR, and a 5-in-1 digital media card reader.
HP recommends us the configuration available at $1,479, with Windows Vista Home Premium, AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile TL-60 at 2GHz speeds, 4GB DDR2 2 Dimm memory, the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 graphics card, 160GB S-ATA HDD at 5400 rpm, a super multi 8x DVD+/-RW with double layer, and a 6-cell Li-Ion battery for up to 2 hours and 15 minutes of life.
