Fujitsu Siemens Notebooks with Mobile Broadband
Posted by: Sierra in Fujitsu-Siemens

Later this year you will be able to try new Fujitsu Siemens notebooks with Sierra Wireless modules delivering HSDPA network connectivity.
These will be only selected models coming with new platforms dedicated to the professional sector, and one of these notebook computers is Lifebook P8010 that will be showcased during Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona.

This is not the first time when Fujitsu Siemens is collaborating with Sierra Wireless, but this time the HSPA modules ad tri-band UMTS/HSPA and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE access for roaming on mobile broadband networks everywhere in the world, and also Receive Diversity and GPS support.
The fully shielded modules have an operating temperature range of -25 to +60 degrees Celsius fitting all application requirements.

When the feature is supported by the mobile broadband network operator, the notebook can offer information like local find or locate for fuel stations, restaurants, as well as navigation assistance via software.
