Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC with Multi-Touch Input Technology
Posted by: Sierra in Dell

Dell has postponed the releasing of its Latitude XT Tablet PC, previously planned for the beginning of this month, because it wanted to present it at the Oracle OpenWorld 2007 conference that took place between November 11 and 15.
In a few months you’ll have the opportunity to get your hands on the multi-touch input technology that makes it possible to use multiple fingers to draw lines or manage images simultaneously.
This is the first Tablet PC coming from Dell, and is also the world’s thinnest convertible notebook, that measures just 12 inches, and would also have the brightest display with 25% more than its competitors.
We’ll have to wait a little longer for it to appear on the market but at least now we have the specifications, and these include a Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage U7600 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, an ATI RS600ME/SB600 chipset with the Radeon Xpress 1250 integrated graphics with 256 MB HyperMemory, 3GB of RAM memory, and a LED backlight display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and the enhanced outdoor viewing capability option.

For communications, it has 802.11n draft wireless standard support and the HSDPA, EV-DO Rev.A technologies.
Expect the notebook to appear on the market at a price between $1,500 and $2,000.
