In December, Dell planned to release two new Inspiron notebook models, 1525 and 1526, destined for small businesses.
The low-cost notebooks have a 15-inch display and will replace the existing Inspiron 1520 and 1521 models.

The Santa Rosa-based Inspiron 1525 will come equipped with 4GB of RAM memory, WXGA/WXGA+/WSXGA+ panel options, S-ATA HDDs, the Blu-Ray reader option, Wi-Fi, WWAN and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR.

For connectivity it will have 4 USB ports, a 4-pin FireWire connector, Ethernet and modem support, VGA out, an optional HDMI, an 8-in-1 multi-card reader, an ExpressCard slot, and it will let you choose between Windows Vista and Ubuntu operating systems.

On the other hand, the Inspiron 1526 will be powered by an AMD processor and will have an ATI Radeon X1270 graphics card.
This model will not feature the Blu-Ray reader, while the rest of the specs are the same.
