Sony VAIO TZ is ready for you. Starting May 26th, this new thin and light laptop, will ship in Japan.

Weighing 2.62lbs, VAIO TZ is based on one of the Intel’s 945 chipsets with integrated GMA 950 graphics and is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo ultra low voltage processor which supports up to 2GB of DDR2 memory.

The system can apparently be configured to run both a 2.5-inch 160GB disk and a 1.8-inch 32GB SSD simultaneously. Sony VAIO TZ also has a built-in DVD burner.

The VAIO TZ also features 802.11a/b/g wireless, Gigabit Ethernet, a modem, two USB ports, ExpressCard 34mm slot, a memory stick reader, Firewire, a VGA out, Secure Digital slot, a fingerprint reader, a built in “Motion Eye” 0.3 mega pixel camera and a microphone.

Sony unveiled a new VAIO FZ series laptop which packs a Blu-Ray disc player along with a 15.4 inch widescreen display.

The VAIO FZ is a thin-and-light entertainment notebook featuring a 15.4" widescreen LCD2 and embedded A/V controls for one-touch access to your music, movies and pictures.

This new premium model of the VAIO FZ comes with a Centrino Duo processor, a built-in 802.11n wireless LAN and Windows Vista Home Premium. The laptop also has a built-in camera and microphone and support for an ExpressCard to help with those large file transfers.

The VIAO FZ premium model will retail for around $2000 while the FZ standard (without the Blu-ray player) will go for about $1400.

Sony has announced the release of four Graphic Splash Edition laptops, designed to fit your unique sense of style.

The VAIO C and FE Series laptop lines combines a spectacular processor with amazing graphics and a vivid widescreen display and will be available in a limited edition of 1350 only.

Both models feature Intel Core 2 Duo processors, DVD-RW drives, built-in 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN technology and a widescreen LCD display featuring Sony's XBRITE technology (C Series 13.3”; FE Series 15.4").

VAIO Graphic Splash Edition designs include:

* Pink Blossom (C Series)/ Charcoal Blossom (FE Series)
* Dots Black and White
* Weathered Red (C Series)/ Weathered Blue (FE Series)

The VAIO C Graphic Splash Edition notebooks start at about $1,250 while the FE models start at about $1,000.
