Some other manufacturers include Toshiba and eMachines, from these you can get some really stylish 10.1” mini notebooks for under $300. Dell Mini 10 is cheap, very good-looking and offers a high level of customization.



You can choose from various colors and you will definitely have some problems picking one out.  It comes powered by the 1.66GHz Atom N450 chip and in normal conditions, the battery goes up to 9 hours.  What separates it from the rest is the excellent display, the build quality and the keyboard. Dell Mini 1012 comes at a low price, it is well-constructed, features a 10” display with a native resolution of 1366x768, showing bright and vibrant images. The keyboard is pretty large and you will like the comfort it provides.  There is Bluetooth, Wi-Fi support, VGA socket in case you want to connect the system to an external monitor or HDTV. The processor is same as the others, 1.66GHz Atom N450 chip, and the battery life will last for about 9 hours with moderate use. Looking for a business mini notebook? Then HP Mini 5102 is the right choice.



This one does look expensive and professional, the matte black keyboard and the glossy touchpad complete the overall look. The size of the display is standard, 10.1” with a native resolution of 1024x600, but it does not <strong>compare</strong> with dell 1012 when it comes to the image quality. The battery life is mediocre, in intensive tasks you might end up with 3 hours and a half.

Toshiba NB305 has a slim and sleek design and it uses the Atom N450 processor, which compared to the ones the early models used, it is less power-eating. Believe it or not, Nokia has introduced a portable system, which isn’t the latest cell phone, but a real-life Booklet 3G. The bad thing though is the price, this <strong>mini notebook</strong> comes <strong>for sale</strong> at about $650. At this price range, you can get yourself a decent notebook, a laptop even, but with its impressive specifications list and battery-friendly, it might attract some users. The design is stunning, glossy lid with aluminum chassis as it makes this mini system look very attractive. The keyboard is comfortable, even if the keys are small, they are nicely spaced and the buttons are very responsive. The display has 10.1” and a native resolution of 1280x720, offering a lot of space for multitasking. It provides also Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, 3G also and GPS, so you can browse the internet anywhere you are and even use it as your navigation system.  The processor used is Atom Z530 processor and it keeps things cool, so a fan is not necessary.



What about having a race car instead of a <strong>mini notebook</strong>? Acer offers the possibility of have them both with its Ferrari One model, which <strong>sells for</strong> about $400. It will definitely be an attraction for a certain market segment, but once you take a closer look and open the lid, you will feel like sitting behind the driving wheel.
