An important disadvantage of notebooks is the upgradeability limit which is surpassed by the Malibal's mobile computer workstation, fully upgradeable, allowing you to replace the hard drive, memory, optical drives, processors and graphics.

The Nine Series features the Intel Core 2 Quad desktop processors or Intel XEON server processors with up to 12MB cache and high-bandwidth PCI EXPRESS architecture, up to 8GB of RAM, dual upgradeable 512MB base video graphics with SLI technology and DirectX 10, NVIDIA GeForce Go 8800M and NVIDIA Quadro FX Go 1600M with OpenGL, multiple serial ATA hard drives with RAID 0, 1, 5 support, up to 960GB of storage, Blu-ray, HD-DVD, a display resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels with UltraBright Glossy Surface, and optional 1920 x 1200 pixels with Glossy Surface.



The Veda mobile computer workstation series sports a 21.1-inch display with a resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels, 290 nits brightness, and 16:10 aspect ratio, while integrating an NVIDIA nForce4 chipset, the dual-core 64-bit Mobile Turion X2 64 processor with NVIDIA's SLI for 2 NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX or Quadro FX 2500M GPUs, a 4-in-1 media card reader, built-in 1.3MP web camera for video conferencing, Surround Sound System, Wireless SuperG 108Mbps WLAN 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, 5 USB ports, Firewire, HDTV port, DVI-I, and a full-size 102-key keyboard with separate numeric keypad.



Finally, the Malibal Satori powerful mobile computer workstation series comes with Intel Penryn Core 2 Duo extreme mobile technology, up to 8GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive storage, optional Solid State Drive, Windows Vista 64-bit operating system, and the MXM video technology with NVIDIA's GeForce Go 8800M GTX or NVIDIA Quadro FX 1600M Open GL with 512MB GDDR3 VRAM. The widescreen display with Clear Glossy Surface has 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, while additional components include a built-in 2MP camera, HD-DVD optical drive, and Blu-Ray.

All Malibal notebook models are configurable. Malibal Nine series has a price of $3,000, Veda costs $2,800 and the Satori series is available at $2,345.

Malibal is a notebook manufacturer focused on building the most powerful configurations but offering also entry-level low-cost solutions for its customers.
It has just launched their new Nine Series of models which includes as they like to call, the world’s fastest Core 2 Duo-based notebook.
The model is customizable and the price starts at $3,000.

Malibal recommends us to opt for a processor from an Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X6800 or a Core 2 Duo Quad Q6700, 512MB – 4GB DDR2 SDRAM memory, a 2.4-inch HDD with up to 320GB storage space with the possibility to add two more hard drives each of up to 320GB, a 7-in-1 card reader with support for SD/mini-SD/MMC/MS/MS PRO/MS DUO/MS DUO PRO memory card types, an optional optical drive to choose from a Combo, a Double Lyayer DVD-RW or a Blu-ray, and a display with the CRT or LCD technology.



The CRT version supports up to 2048 x 1536 pixels with 16 milion colors capability, while a good LCD option is the 17-inch 1920 x 1200 WUXGA GlassView display with a large viewing angle.

The graphics is optimized to support the latest 3D games with the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX MXX IVmodule in SLI with DirectX 10.
After choosing the right components according to your daily needs you may continue to add other features such as a TV tuner with multi-function remote control, Bluetooth module, the operating system and an USB optical mouse.

Malibal Nine Series comes also with built-in camera, a full keyboard with numeric pad, 4xUSBs, DVI, S-Video, audio jacks, built-in fax/modem, Ethernet LAN, and a minimum battery life of 1.5 hours.
