The size in this case doesn’t matter because although the new U810 is half size compared with a standard notebook, having a WSVGA Crystal View display measuring only 5.6 inch (1024 x 600 pixels) and weighting just 1.56 lbs, it still keeps the full functionality of a 17 inch size notebook.

You can use it to do all of the most important things, from accessing your e-mails and watch videos to browse the Internet and take pictures.
Let’s see now what the general features of LifeBook U810 are.
First, it comes with Windows Vista or XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 pre-installed, but also with the Fujitsu Utility Menu, accessible through the Function button, which allows you to set the brightness, tablet and pen settings for the touch screen, display controls, power options, the sound and others.
The Atheros Super AG® Wireless LAN (802.11a/b/g) technology with dual antenna is an option that allows you to surf the Internet at speeds of up to 108 Mbps at the best connectivity and performance standards.

As the rest of the latest generation notebooks, it comes with Bluetooth 2.0 for wireless connectivity and USB 2.0 version.
You can also opt for the biometric fingerprint sensor protection together with the OmniPass software, for authentication and password management.
With the Trusted Platform Module you will be sure that your confidential data like digital signature and passwords are very well protected.

The docking cradle that you see in the pictures is an attachable device for connecting your printers, USB DVD+/-RW optical drives, scanners, or monitors.

On the hardware side of things, the U810 runs on an Intel Ultra Mobile 2007 platform, meaning an Intel Processor A110 (800MHz, 512KB L2 cache, 400MHz FSB), a Intel 945GU Express Chipset, and the Intel ICH7U I/O Controller Hub.
There is a 1GB DDR2 (400MHz) memory, and a 40 GB HDD with 1.8-inch PATA Ultra DMA 100 (4200rpm) with S.M.A.R.T. support.
The audio quality is ensured by a RealTek ALC262 HD audio codec with built-in digital microphone.
