According to the latest rumors, on January 6, Fujitsu will release the new notebook called Amilo Xi 2550 powered by the latest Intel’s processor.

Besides the 45nm 2.5 GHz T9300 Core 2 Duo Penryn CPU, it will feature a dual layer Blu-ray player, a Radeon HD2700 graphics card, 2GB of RAM memory, 1GB Turbo Flash memory, 2 RAID 0/1 250GB drives.

This entire configuration is priced at $2,420.
We don’t have too much to wait until we’ll find out the full specs and the final price.

Fujitsu Siemens LOOX R Might Come With the Penryn CPU

At the beginning of 2008 Fujitsu-Siemens will release the first ultraportable PC powered by Intel Penryn processor.
LOOX R will have a 12.1-inch display, no less than 4GB of RAM memory, 120GB of HDD storage, and a dual layer DVD-RW.

These specifications are not confirmed but from what we’ve heard, the screen will be a LED backlit type, with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, and the battery will have a working time of up to 9.7 hours.

It will also feature Gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g support, SHDC slot, fingerprint reader for security, Firewire connector and a PCMCIA slot.

We will find out more after January 6, the date at which Intel announced the launch of its latest Penryn processor.

Fujitsu will soon release its latest tablet PC, the FMV-BIBLO LOOX P, of 8.9 inches on the Japan market.

The lightweight tablet weights just 960 grams and has a long-life Li-Ion battery, lasting up to 10.5 hours in working time.
Other important features that make this model stand out include a WXGA display with a resolution of 1280x768 pixels, the LED backlit LCD type and support for IEEE 802.11n draft 2.0.

In Japan, the Fujitsu tablet will be available at a starting price of $2,252.

Fujitsu Announced the 320GB Mobile HDD

The 2.5-inch SATA Hard Disk Drive with 5400RPM of 320GB is the highest capacity hard drive ever made and is coming from Fujitsu.
The company has just announced it and prepares the release for the first quarter of the next year.

MHZ2 BH series mobile hard disk drive meant for the most advanced notebooks and customer electronic applications, uses the Perpendicular Magnetic Recording (PMR) technology and the S-ATA 3.0 Gb/sec interface to provide up to 300MB per second transfer speeds.
With the best idle at 0.6W and read/write power consumption of 1.9W, the hard drive uses less power and generates less heat than the HDDs existent on the market, but still offers the optimum storage capacity.

The LifeBook business line from Fujitsu has two new additions, the LifeBook S6510 and LifeBook S2710 thin and light notebooks.

The 4 pounds S6510 notebook, launched earlier in Asia, has a 14-inch Crystal View Wide XGA display, Windows Vista OS, an Intel Core 2 Processor T7700 at 2.4 GHz and800 MHz FSB, 1GB Turbo Memory, 4GB DDR SDRAM at 667MHz, 120 GB of HDD S-ATA 150 at 5400rpm, a dual layer multi format DVD writer, a 1.3MP webcam, modem, the Gigabit Ethernet LAN type, Wi-Fi support and Bluetooth connectivity.

To ensure the security it comes with the Embedded TPM, a Security Panel with over 800,000 passwords and the Fingerprint Sensor.

The optional Computrace LoJack service is in charge with tracking and recovering the lost /stolen notebooks and it is used through the Web.
The modular battery is a Li-Ion 6-cell of 5800mAh and lasts up to 6 hours.

Besides the previous features, the second new model, S7210, comes with a dedicated Smart Card slot, an ExpressCard slot, hard drives ranging from 80GB to 160GB, and no webcam.

Depending on the final configurations, the LiveBook S7210’ price ranges from $1,329 to $2,229, while the LifeBook 6510 costs from $1,529 to $2,519.
