Dell has postponed the releasing of its Latitude XT Tablet PC, previously planned for the beginning of this month, because it wanted to present it at the Oracle OpenWorld 2007 conference that took place between November 11 and 15.

In a few months you’ll have the opportunity to get your hands on the multi-touch input technology that makes it possible to use multiple fingers to draw lines or manage images simultaneously.
This is the first Tablet PC coming from Dell, and is also the world’s thinnest convertible notebook, that measures just 12 inches, and would also have the brightest display with 25% more than its competitors.



We’ll have to wait a little longer for it to appear on the market but at least now we have the specifications, and these include a Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage U7600 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, an ATI RS600ME/SB600 chipset with the Radeon Xpress 1250 integrated graphics with 256 MB HyperMemory, 3GB of RAM memory, and a LED backlight display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and the enhanced outdoor viewing capability option.

For communications, it has 802.11n draft wireless standard support and the HSDPA, EV-DO Rev.A technologies.
Expect the notebook to appear on the market at a price between $1,500 and $2,000.

Another Notebook in the Dell’s Precision Line: The Precision M2300 Notebook



The Dell’s Precision professional notebooks line has now added a new model named Precision M2300 based on an Intel Core 2 Duo processor ranging from a 2 GHz T7250 to a 2.6 GHz T7800, and with a Ram memory, also ranging from 1GB to 4GB.

The video performance is provided by the NVIDIA Quadro FX 360M graphic card with its own 128MB memory and 256MB shared by the TurboCache technology, all your work being displayed on a 14.1 inches LCD screen with a resolution of 1440x900 pixels, incorporating the UltraSharp technology for the sharpest images.



Precision M2300 is a system running on Windows XP Professional or Vista Business/Ultimate, depending on your needs.
Your data can be stored on a 200GB SATA HDD drive or on a DVD or CD burned in the multi-layer optical device.
For connectivity you get Bluetooth support, 802.11a/g/n wireless networking support, and the Verizon Wireless mobile broadband.
The unidentified access is prevented with the fingerprint reader technology incorporated.

The model provides interfaces and slots for ExpressCard34, Firewire, Gigabit Ethernet, VGA, and 4 USB 2.0, and in US you have the option to ad a modem for EV-DO mobile networks.

The basic configuration of the Precision M2300 costs $1,439 and the more options you add the more it will reach a price of $1,600.

One more Laptop from Dell Announced: The XPS M1530



The new Dell XPS M1530 laptop scheduled to appear in stores next month, is a small 15.40 inch display model coming in 2 versions, one with CCFL backlight technology (1680x1050) and the other one with LED (1440x900), but it is maintaining on the last technology trends line with its Core 2 Duo processor options, a 1.5GHz T5250 and the 2.6GHz T7800.

The mainboard has a Crestline GM/PM 965 chipset with up to 4GB of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
A GeForce 8400M or 8600M GS graphics options each with 256MB dedicated video memory, are enough for allowing users feel the latest video experience.

Other features include a slot-loading Blu-ray compatible DVD burning unit for speeds of 8x; extra options for 802.11a/b/g/n, WWAN and Bluetooth; an ExpressCard slot, a media and a fingerprint reader; and the 2MP camera.

Everybody is surprised by the weight of these laptops, which is of just 4 pounds, as the specs show.

Dell has finally released the specifications for Latitude XT model.

First of all we know now that it comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.2GHz ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) processor.
The graphics card is an ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 but integrated on the motherboard.
We have two options for the touch screen LCD of 12 inch, a conventional CCFL (cold-cathode florescent) technology, or the LED backlighting, these together with Bluetooth, 802.11n Wi-Fi for wireless support, and 3GB of RAM.

Probably on November 5 we’ll find out about the price too.
