Mobility is the primary benefit of laptops and as such finding the right size is imperative. 12,14 and 15 inch are the usual which can be carried around quite easily but if you, like many others, are constantly on the go with your laptop then a 10 or 12 inch laptop is advisable as they are lighter than the other sizes and easier to carry.

Battery life is also very important, after all your laptop is only as mobile as its battery life. Pentium-M and Centrino based laptops are the best and can give you around 4-5 hours battery whereas Celeron-M models can only offer around 2-3 hours.

Finding a quality but cheap laptop computer is easy when is easy when you know what you are going to use it for. Make sure you have an updated version of an anti-virus package to minimize the chance of your laptop being infected with a virus or being hacked.
