Asus introduces three new professional notebook models specially designed for gaming.


The first model mentioned in the title, the Asus G2K, comes with a 2.0 GHz Turion 64 X2 TL60 processor, 2 GB RAM, an ATI HD2600 graphics card with 256 MB dedicated memory, a 200 GB 7200 rpm HDD, a dual layer DVD burner, High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) – an audio and video connector interface for sending uncompressed, encrypted digital streams, wireless b/g, Bluetooth technology, a 1.3 MP webcam, a TV Tuner with remote, all on Windows Vista platform which you can see on the 17.1 inch display.


The Asus A7K features the same screen model as the G2K, but the processor is a 1.8 GHz Turion 64 X2 TL56, the hard drive is with 50 GB larger, white the graphics card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600 DDR3 with 256MB.


About the Asus F7K Notebook, I will mention only the difference between it and the other two models, meaning a 1.9 GHz Turion 64 X2 TL58 processor and a graphics card ATI HD2400 256 MB.

Asustek Computer Inc is tapping into the market for budget laptops with a slew of Intel’s Classmate PC platform-based products scheduled for launch in the second half of the year, Taipei Times reports.

“Tech giants such as Intel Corp don’t want to miss out on the potential of the budget PC segment, and we are working with [Intel] to tap into the market,” confirmed an Asustek official.

Intel Classmate PC for Emerging MarketsDetails of these budget laptops, including channels and distribution, still need to be ironed out, but they would not be Asustek’s main product line, he added.

The Commercial Times previously reported the five budget laptop models would be priced from US$199 to US$549 and will employ Intel’s Solid State Disk with flash memory from 1 gigabyte to 40 gigabytes, instead of the standard mechanical hard drive, as well as 7-inch displays.

Asustek introduces a new ultra-mobile PC, the Asus T83 UMPC, which features 7-inch widescreen, a 1GHz Via C7-M processor, up to 2GB of main memory, and an upgradeable 30GB HDD.

The T83 has a QWERTY keyboard and six hours of battery life.

Asus T83 UMPC also features GPS module, Bluetooth, wireless and a digital camera.

The Asustek’s T83 UMPC will be available starting in Q3 2007 for between $899 and $999, and will feature Windows XP and Linux operating system options.

No word about availability and prices of the Asus Lamborghini VX2.

ASUS announced a new 17-inch laptop, the ASMobile Z84Jp. Weighting 8.8 lbs, the Asus Z84Jp features an Intel Core 2 Duo Merom processer up yo T7600 (2.33GHz), DDR2 533/667 MHz with max memory to 4GB, HDD Support SATA (2.5″), NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics, and a vibrant WSXGA+ display.

Asus AsMobile Z84Jp seems to be a multimedia laptop since it has four speakers plus a sub-woofer, and both S-Video and HDMI out. It also has a built-in 2 megapixels webcam, four USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, Bluetooth 2.0, , and a 7-in-1 memory card reader.
