ASRock MultiBook G12
Posted by: Codrut Nistor in ASRock
For a while, I thought there weren't enough netbooks on the market. Now, I start to believe there are too many. Well, it's never bad to have a lot of possible choices available, don't you think? Today's choice - the ASRock MultiBook G12!

ASRock? Why ASRock? Well...why not? After all, MSI is notorious for its mainboards, and they managed to come up with a great product, namely the MSI Wind. Speaking for myself, I am not really one of ASRock's fans. On the contrary, I always thought they are some cheap brand from China or Taiwan, targeting very low budget consumers. ASRock boys(and girls, if any!), you have my apologies. Now, let's take a look at the MultiBook G12, shall we?
As you can see in the image above(thanks to Engadget; I hate those guys, they're always in the first line when it comes to new gadgets!), the ASRock MultiBook G12 is no wonder - just another netbook, but I must confess I like it. Sometimes, you don't need an amazing design, and when talking about netbooks, smart pricing could be the key to success.

Unfortunately, there's no big deal to know about the MultiBook G12 just yet, since ASRock said this netbook will come with a dual-core Intel CPU(wow!), up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, integrated graphics(obviously), a 12.1-inch panel with 1280X800 resolution, and room for a single 2.5-inch SATA drive, as well as the usual gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, audio in / out, four USB 2.0 ports, a 56k modem, VGA output and a cool design on the lid. Oh, yeah, this one will also have a built-in optical drive! Just great, but I hope this won't push the price too high...
At last, you should know we'll have to wait until April/May to find out more about the pricing and availability, but I am sure ASRock will deliver something nice for these tough times. My guess? Around $400. What do you think?
