MacBook Air has just been launched, and the problems started to appear.

According to Apple, some customers encountered some problems with the wireless connectivity and the Windows installation when the Remote Disc is used.

Also not all headphones are properly jacking into the thinnest notebook.
Apple declared that when closing the notebook to use an external display, you might see a throughput reduction or wireless networks that use 2.4GHz band, and the solution would be to switch the frequency range, try another channel/wireless access point or take the notebook closer to the base station.
Other MacBook Air wireless issues involve slow speeds when connected to multiple Bluetooth devices and balky routers that refuse to work the Remote Disc magic. For the latter, Apple suggested that users update the firmware of their non-Apple 802.11n wireless routers to get disc-sharing operational, Apple said.
The conclusion is that you can't install Windows XP or Windows Vista in a Boot Camp partition via Remote Disc CD/DVD software and you have to use an external optical drive.
MacBook Air owners need to go to Apple Stores and get a third-party adapter to extend the audio connection outside of the nearly hidden port.

As there is a high demand of thinner and lightweight notebooks with more and more features and the latest technologies, all leading companies in the industry are working hard on feeling these requirements.

Apple was the first to develop the thinnest notebook of 0.16 inches thickness, and weighting just 3 pounds, presented at CES 2008, under the name MacBook Air, model running on Leopard OS.

Its glossy display measures 13.3 inches and is a LED backlit wide type with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, while the keyboard has full size with backlit key illumination for optimal visibility, the same technology used for the built-in iSight camera for video conferencing.

Other special feature is the large trackpad with multi-touch input support that allows users to pinch, rotate and swipe.

On the inside MacBook Air has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor clocked at 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz, 2GB memory, a 1.8-inch HDD with 80GB storage, and support for AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity technologies to deliver up to five times the performance and twice the range of the previous Wi-Fi module.

Steve Jobs said that Apple accomplished the project of creating the world's thinnest notebook without sacrificing a full-size keyboard or a full-size 13-inch display. When you first see MacBook Air, it's hard to believe it's a high-performance notebook with a full-size keyboard and display.

The thinnest notebook operates for up to five hours until a new battery charge, and comes with the Migration Assistant software that allows wireless transfer from old Macs onto MacBook Air.
To help the environment, Apple's MacBook Air was built using safe materials such as aluminum enclosure, mercury-free substances and arsenic-free glass for the LCD, brominated flame retardant-free material for the majority of circuit boards and PVC-free internal cables.
In less than two weeks, the thinnest notebook will be available on the market at a starting price of $1,800.

There appeared some rumors related to a new Apple sub-notebook that will be released at Macworld in January 2008 but the company has not confirmed this yet.
From what we have heard, the new sub-notebook is 50 times thinner than the MacBook Pro, will employ NAND flash memory instead of the hard disk drive, and will be available at a retail price of $1,500.

Some rumors say that the display will measure 12 inches but others describe a 13.3-inch display, either way it will be a tiny last-gen notebook.
