<-180x150 Small Rectangle - left->Acer Aspire 5720Z is a low-cost laptop computer equipped with enough power to run most applications and it is also available at a nice price of just $747.
Coming in a cool housing with rounded margins, this new laptop runs with an Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2310 processor at 1.46GHz speed and has a RAM memory of 2GB DDR2 with 667MHz which is enough to install Windows Vista Home Premium on it and benefit from this operating system’s applications and superb interface.
There is also an 80GB S-ATA HDD storage space and a DVD+/-RW Super Multi Double Layer, to keep Acer models up to date with the latest technology requirements.
The laptop shows a 15.4-inch Wide TFT display of 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and the graphics are delivered by integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100.

For connectivity it comes with the 802.11b/g wireless module, Gigabit Ethernet, four high-speed USB ports, Firewire, and a card reader compatible with MMC, MS, MS-pro, SD and XD card types.
The notebook weights 2.8Kg and has no Bluetooth support and no built-in camera.

Acer notebook models are considered affordable models and in the latest technology trends, although some have minor hardware problems and most of the people searching for a new laptop in the end are opting for an Asus or Dell, if not a Novell.
Still, we can’t affirm that Acer models are not showing a nice design every time a new one comes out on the market.
Japan has the pleasure to welcome a new laptop from the company called AS5520-7A1G16, and this one comes with a 15.4-inch display and a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
The processor is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core and there is also a memory of 1GB integrated together with 160GB HDD storage.
As the performance of this model is not an outstanding one, it is priced at around $950.

Acer America has released on North American’s market the Extensa 4620, a notebook destined to the business sector, where users need a very well balanced productivity system.
Extensa comes in the TravelMate housing and a 14.1-inch CrystalBrite LCD display.
Small, but powerful, this notebook model has Microsoft Windows XP Professional pre-installed and runs with the Intel Centrino Duo or Pentium CPU technology, having 1GB DDR II SDRAM, 120GB HDD storage and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 integrated.
The Extensa line of professional notebooks is equipped with a Super-Multi optical drive and support for 802.11a/b/g WLAN, Gigabit LAN and a V.92 modem.
There are two notebook versions from this series, the Extensa 4620-6294 and Extensa 4620-4054, and the difference between the two consists of an Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 processor clocked at 1.66GHz that powers the first model, while the second runs with the Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2310 with 533MHz front side bus, 1MB L2 cache and 1.46GHz processor speed.
Acer Extensa notebooks are available in stores in North America at $699 and $799 for the more powerful model.

According to Acer’s statistics, the next year will bring to the top computer manufacturer company 20 billion dollars revenue from the future shipment of 20 million notebooks and 5.5 million desktop PCs.
Next year’s revenue means for Acer with 40% more increased revenue compared with 2007.
Acer’s Earnings Per Share will reach 0.22 US dollars, this according to a recent published report.
The latest statistics show that Acer is situated on the fifth place in the top laptop brands, although monthly revenues started to decrease since November.

Gemstone" .
The “Gemstone” incorporates a unique rounded design with opal contours and edges, white keyboard with brilliant sapphire blue keys.
Unfortunately, there is no information about the specs , pricing and availability at the moment.
One thing is for sure , the only way to differentiate a laptop from another today, when almost all have the same specs, is their design. And this new
