<-234x60 Half Banner - left->Acer made a public surprise yesterday at IAC Building in New York, by unveiling a new laptop design concept presented by Gianfranco Lanci, president of Acer Inc. and senior executives from Acer.
Using the same Gemstone design which characterizes the Acer notebooks since May 2007 when it was created, the company modified it a little to become the new Aspire Gemstone blue design for the unique HD notebook PC concept defined by the following key elements: light, blue and color.

The new 18.4-inch Acer Aspire 8920 and 16-inch Aspire 6920 feature Blu-Ray Disc drives, full high definition LCDs and 16:9 native resolution.

Acer chose blue to inspire a natural calming effect via the universal color, and enhanced this design with Holographic 3D cover consisting of starlit backlight shine below the logo for extra elegance, the Acer CineDash touch-sensitive interface with navigation menus, volume adjustment and media control, the DiamondBlack eKey to add a plus to the image of a precious stone, and the NeoWeave palm rest for ergonomics.

Extra new elements include the Dolby Home Theater technology with CineSurround, Tuba CineBass booster, and True5.1 output, while the Enlightener media flow traces a path between the power button and the digital sound coming from the Tuba bass.
