3D Computer Display with Stereoscopic Effects on Mini Notebook Computers

<-125x125 Button - right->
We’ve just been informed about a new cool gadget available for mini notebook computers’ users and we decided to tell you all about it because we’re sure you’ll love it!
It is called the Netbook3D and it is a special mod developed by iArt3D, a company from Taiwan, which enables 3D imaging on your small portable system’s display. This functionality is enabled by stereoscopic 3D pictures and videos technology that doesn’t require wearing those funny 3D glasses.

The technology combines the stereoscopic capability with a special software and a thin film that applies on mini notebook computers’ screens, such as the Asus Eee PC or Acer Aspire One, being available in different sizes.

If you plan to add stereoscopic effects to mini notebook computers and enable the 3D computer display feature you’ll have to spend about $79 for the 7-inch NetBook3D Kit designed to fit an Eee PC. Included specifications are: removable lens, 3D preview, ease of use, instant 3D photo conversion, portable 3D picture frame, 3D image sharing, and multiple wide-angle views. Also, in the package you will find one 3D lens, the Auto3D Maker SE CD, the Auto3D Player SE & DEMO CD, a 6 x 4 inches i-Magic Frame for 3D pictures, a 4 x 3 inches i-Magic Viewer, and the Hardware Security Dongle.

(Thanks for the tip, Nick!)

Mobile Broadband High Speed Internet Availability in Planes

If you are a faithful customer of the American Airlines flights, then you got to hear this one! In the near future you will travel by air using your laptop computer with the new mobile broadband connectivity enabled by ZTE USA and Qualcomm Incorporated. The two companies teamed up to deliver advanced wireless communication via Aircell and develop the networking platform for the Inflight Internet service called Gogo.
The Air-to-Ground service uses the ZTE’s EV-DO Rev. A base stations and IP switching platform, as well as the aircraft-mounted modems provided by Qualcomm.

“At ZTE, we are committed to developing customized and flexible solutions that enable our customers and partners to offer their own customers the most innovative and desirable applications and services,” said Dr. George Sun, CEO, ZTE USA. “In this instance, by working closely with Aircell and Qualcomm, we were able to tap into the brightest R&D minds available to create the most cutting-edge and flexible networking platform. We look forward to working with Aircell and Qualcomm to scale the platform to support increasing demand and future expansion of the service.”

If you are afraid of accidents, remembering the problems from the past created by the circuitry in airplanes, ZTE’s solution seems the most reliable taking into account the high speed and high altitude of the aircraft that connects to the base station.

“When designing our industry-first in-flight mobile broadband service, we were searching for companies that would work hand-in-hand with us to create a flexible and customized networking platform that was optimized for our unique ATG needs,” said Joe Cruz, executive vice president and chief technology officer of Aircell. “We found those allies in ZTE and Qualcomm. As a result, we are able to offer our customers the best possible broadband experience on North America’s only comprehensive Inflight Internet service.”

diNovo Keyboard Mac Edition Logitech Wireless Keyboard

<-125x125 Button - right->
Logitech announced the introduction of a new cool notebook keyboard based on its diNovo model, but optimized for working with Mac computers.
We had the chance to find all the details about it including the price it will be available at, but we can’t provide you the official product’s page, or the real images, as Logitech didn’t make them public yet. That’s why we can assume the new keyboard looks very similar with the diNovo Keyboard for Notebooks, displayed in the image.
We also like that the new Logitech wireless keyboard won’t be too expensive, like for example, the EDGE For Mac, which can be found at around $150, and that you will be able to purchase it from many United States-based and European stores, at a starting price of $99 later this month.

The Mac Edition of Logitech wireless keyboard for notebooks features Logitech’s advanced PerfectStroke key system, which was created to offer longer key travel of 3.2 millimeters, compared to the 2.2-mm of standard models, while your fingers will benefit from more ergonomic positions during intensive typing. Thanks to the micro-scissors, the force is distributed evenly across key surfaces, so you will have the same feels when pressing a key’s edge, like when pressing on the center.
More than these, Logitech diNovo Keyboard Mac Edition with integrated numeric pad lets you work on it for up to three years of continuous use.

The company tells us also about the design features of the new model, referring at the sleek form factor, a high-gloss semi-translucent Plexiglas frame, sharp angles and the overall thin profile, measuring only 087 inches thick. There is also a brushed-aluminum palm rest meant to increase the comfort.

While working on your laptop, you can get instant access to applications like Mail, Safari, iTunes, Exposé, Cover Flow, Dashboard, QuickLook and Spaces, at the press of a button. Other dedicated keys on the Logitech wireless keyboard include the Play, Pause, Mute and Volume for the media control.
It allows you to perform so many tasks in the shortest time, wirelessly, using the 2.4GHz technology, with any of the following: MacBook Air, iMac, MacBook and MacBook Pro.

“With the recently released diNovo Edge, Mac Edition, and now this diNovo Keyboard, Mac Edition, Logitech is giving people more options when it comes to choosing a keyboard that perfectly complements the Mac design,” said Denis Pavillard, vice president of product marketing for Logitech’s keyboards and desktops. “While the diNovo Edge keyboard is rechargeable and includes a TouchDisc and touch-sensitive volume control, our newest diNovo keyboard has a full-size layout and nineteen shortcut keys that provide quick access to Safari, iTunes, Expose, iChat and much more.”
