The printer is half size the standard desktop printers but it integrates a 50% larger pigment black ink tank to ensure it won’t run out of ink so fast, and more than that it comes with the Auto Image Fix technology, which analyzes automatically the scenes in pictures, categorizes them and optimizes the print output so that the scene matches its type such as Portrait, Scenery or Snapshot.

Equipped with PictBridge port, it lets the user print high-quality pictures from digital cameras, camcorders or other compatible devices without the need for a computer, in 4 x 6 inch, 4 x 8 inch, 5 x 7 inch, 8 x 10 inch, and letter size formats.
The wireless printing from cell phones or other Bluetooth- or IrDA-enabled devices can be accomplished thanks to the Bluetooth Unit BU-30 module which is optional and comes for an additional price of $49.99.
