If some of us can’t get a 17-inch notebook powerful and lightweight at the same time, like MacBook Air, then we can renounce at the dimension standard and find something that’s smaller to be lightweight, like the new Avenger AG2 from Hypersonic PC, announced today by OCZ Technology Group.

The 12-inch Avenger AG2 is a stylish ultra-portable notebook available in cool colors with mirrored finish, but delivering high-performance with a powerful processor up to Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 clocked at 2.5GHz, and integrating the Intel GM965 Chipset + ICH8M, up to 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 memory, up to 320GB HDD, a 7-in-1 Card Reader, WXGA glossy display, the Intel GM965 X3100 graphics with up to 256MB shared memory, 8X DVD±R/RW + 4x Dual Layer Combo drive, Express Card slot, Intel High Definition Audio S/PDIF Digital output 7.1CH, Direct 3D Sound compatibility, 1 built-in Microphone, 2 built-in Speakers, the 802.11b/g Wi-Fi Network Controller, optional Bluetooth, and a built-in 1.3MP camera.

“We listen closely to our customers, and it became clear that many of our customers wanted a notebook that offers the style and performance that Hypersonic is known for but was more portable,” says Alessandro Gilligan, Systems Manager, Hypersonic PC. “The new Avenger 12 inch notebook is our smallest and lightest notebook to date, and offers a combination of Intel Core 2 performance in a surprisingly small and stylish form factor so consumers don’t have to make sacrifices on when they are on the go.”

Avenger AG2 is available at a starting price of $1,359 for the basic configuration.
