Take for example Alienware laptop area 51 m17x. It features powerful processor, spacious hard drive and an amazing 17” display. What is true is that they are not all portable, but once you pay this much you will want to keep it safe around the house.

Alienware laptop area 51 m17x starts at a price of $3849, but if you choose to configure it you will spend more than $5000 on it. As regarding design, it comes all in black and it is one of the largest laptops on the market. It measures 2.1 inches thick and weights 11 pounds. The design is minimalistic, has rounded edges and it is matte, the only glossy part can be found on the LCD borders. Not only it is large, but also solid constructed. The base is inflexible and either the palm rest or the keyboard don’t bend or budge under pressure. The hinges hold everything in place, and the display is held closed thanks to some small magnets.
Another characteristic of Alienware laptops is the lighting; in this case there are five areas which have LED backlighting and they are: touchpad, keyboard, touch buttons, the logo below the display and the head power button on back of the display. You can choose from 12 colors to light each zone, thus creating a rainbow-like design. Alienware laptop area 51 m17x display features 17” and glossy widescreen with a 1920x1200 pixel resolution. It’s not worth mentioning the picture quality is stunning with vibrant colors and high level of overall brightness, ideal screen for gaming, high-definition videos and other general usage. Viewing angles are superb from either angle.

Sound is again excellent; it has two stereo speakers and 2” subwoofers. Because it is a monster machine, the heating must tale over and cool things down. The large fans draw air from various locations on the bottom of the laptop and even under the palm rests. The back of it is also cool thanks to the exhaust vents. The cooling system does a good job in keeping two video cards, powerful processor and two hard drives, all under control. When it comes to the sound, don’t expect total silence, because when you power up games you will hear the fans running. Moving on, the keyboard is full-size and it has separate numpad. Keys are durable and rubberized. Typing is quiet and flexible also. As for input and output ports you have the power jack, optical audio, S-video out, HD TV Tuner, headphone and microphone port, audio out, three USB ports and a SmartBay modular bay all on the left side. On the right a 7-in-1 media card reader, ExpressCard/54 slot, USB port, HDMI, FireWire A, Gigabit Ethernet and a security lock slot. If you want to go wireless you can use Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN wireless card and Bluetooth.

Don’t rely on the battery life as it eats up all the energy, so keep it close to a socket.
